I would like to know if you are interested in adopting a soldier or Marine. We would adopt him as a class. We could send him just letters or letters and a care package. Please let me know. This is volunteer only.
The Marine in this picture is not the person we would write to. I just happened upon this photo while online tonight. However, beanie babies and hard candy are among the items requested for care packages. Soldiers and Marines pass them out to Iraqi children.

Deff! that's a really good idea. It could be a class project we could all do together. Now are you thinking just one soldier or multiple soldiers for each class? Whatever it is I'm in!
I'd love to help out with that. Anything that helps our men and women overseas is worthwhile.

Good question. We could do it either way. One soldier or a platoon. It depends on the commitment from the class.
Great idea!! In the 10th grade we adopted a child in Mr. Friend's class, so I would love to help out a soldier now!

I don't see how any one would have a problem with that. I think it would be a really good idea and I am definately down for it.
I think that is such a brilliant idea! I have a friend in the Marines and I know how much it means to him and the rest of his platoon when they get letters and care packages from home, as any soldier enjoys those things. Helping out the troops in this way is such a good idea! I'm all for it! :)
I think this is a fab idea. It's hard to help those overseas and I think this is a great Idea!!! Wonder if we could adopt more than one? Anyway LETS DO IT!!!

Yeah, that's a good idea. My mom already has a huge box of everything you could possibly think of giving to the troops. We can use that too. Where the hell have i been I thought they stopped selling beanie babies??! ahaha I live in my own little world(say mama Trouve).
I'd be interested. I think our soldiers are maligned for fighting in a war that maybe we shouldn't be in but they are doing a great job in general.
